Mission

EPT Rho Chapter is dedicated to supporting Engineering Technology (ETech) students by providing tutoring and resources to foster academic excellence, while the ATMAE SJSU Student Chapter focuses on enhancing practical skills through competitions in robotics, synopsis presentations, and offering certifications in both manufacturing and networking engineers. Both chapters enrich our members' educational journeys by offering scholarships and opportunities to participate in professional conferences, building a foundation for success in the technology field. Together, we strive to empower our students, helping them to realize their full potential and prepare for a successful future in the industry.

History

Epsilon Pi Tau Rho Chapter

The RHO Chapter of the honorary Epsilon Pi Tau was founded at San Jose State University in 1938 when Dr. Heber Sotzin was the department head of the Industrial Technology department. Since then, many department heads, trustees and faculty members have come, served and gone.

EPT has been the primary honor society for the Technology programs. It is believed that this chapter has inducted thousands of honor students since its founding. Many of its current members still live in the San Jose and Bay Area communities. Initiation into the honorary was regarded as something reserved for the esteemed few.
